Vetspeed Ltd was founded in May 1979 by Ray Hale and his father-in-law Clive Jackman. Both animal lovers with a background in waste management, they sought to change long establish methods of disposal by introducing new ethical services to the veterinary profession.
Establishing UK’s first pet crematorium: Cambridge Pet Crematorium, CPC became synonymous with providing a much-loved pet with a dignified farewell. In 2014, the company celebrated its 35th Anniversary, and this milestone was marked with the opening of Caledonian Pet Crematorium and in early 2015, Cheltenham Pet Crematorium.
The company’s commercial waste division was established in 2001, and quickly earning an enviable reputation in the healthcare sector. Rebranded to Novus Environmental, this division continues to expand, underpinned by sustainable waste and resource management, innovative methodologies and waste recovery technologies.
